IndustriALL Global Union congratulates Roberto Benaglia as new Secretary General of FIM-CISL
Dear Brother Roberto,
On behalf of the fifty million workers in mining, energy and manufacturing industries in 140 countries worldwide, represented by IndustriALL Global Union, I wish to congratulate you on your election as the new Secretary General of FIM-CISL.
I take this opportunity as well to thank brother Marco Bentivogli for the long cooperation and to wish him all the best in his new endeavours.
As I mentioned earlier in the year at the time of the 70th anniversary of FIM-CISL, IndustriALL Global Union celebrates your long fighting tradition on behalf of metalworkers in Italy and around the world, and your firm commitment and dedication for a free, democratic and independent trade
unionism. We also honour the sacrifice and staunch solidarity shown by metal workers who have provided invaluable help to the different communities badly affected by Covid-19 in Italy.
I am looking forward to working closely together with you, and I count on the vital role FIM-CISL plays in all our international solidarity actions.
Our work as trade unionists is more necessary than ever. Long live the FIM-CISL!
